Abstract

This experience report is a summary of the experiences of a group of students with hearing, intellectual and physical disabilities from the Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE) program at the Mater Dolorum Basic Education School in Capinzal/SC. The overall objective is to stimulate and encourage students with disabilities to get involved in sports, promoting inclusion through parasports. The project began in March 2024 and continues to this day. The project arose from the need to include students with disabilities in other spaces outside of school. However, sports practice not only contributes to inclusion in a broad way, but also to the development of social, cognitive, affective and motor skills. In this sense, it is worth emphasizing that the basis for learning is motor stimulation, as it is believed that focusing on academic functionality is not enough without the student with disabilities having mastery of fundamental basic skills. So, in this dimension, Rafa Vollo bocce and Paralympic bocce were and are developed with students in order to contribute to the areas of student development such as motor, cognitive, affective and social stimulation.
